Title: "eat your heart out"

Melanie please may you tell me what film did you use? I like the tones of the very first image you posted and this last one.
Thanks :)

First and third photos: Neopan 400, D-76 1:1

Second photo: Ilford XP2 Super

Last photo: Tri-X 400, D-76 1:1

Duotone added in Photoshop.

I'm a sucker for dog portraits. Looking at this I realized my dog is sitting on the same chair I have my hand on the childhood photo I use as my icon. 30 years in the life of a chair.

MelanieC your shots are so nice.

There is no such thing as bad Newfoundland photographs, just bad Newfoundland photographers. His name is Kai and he is a 150lb male. He is a rescue. We got his two months ago and I need to take his picture on film, but this is what my digital P&S has done. The answer is no to the next two questions - he does not eat that much and we do not drive a truck or SUV (a Prius actually). We have found slobber on the Kitchen ceiling.

Bronson, named after a dog adopted by my freshman class in college. A rangefinder picture and an SLR picture. He needed to be rescued after that wave hit.
