Leica Lenses for the Luftwaffe by Jim Lager

Four Leitz lenses for the Leica were prepared during 1939-1944 destined for the German air force (Luftwaffe). A few 3.5cm Elmar, 5cm Elmar,5cm Summitar,and 13.5cm Hektor have survived engraved Luftwaffen-Eigentum (air force property). The engraving font is stylized or unstylized Please refer to the illustrations.
As part of my continuing research I will appreciate hearing from Forum readers who can contribute information such as lens type, serial number, and engraving style and placement.
