Olympus Pen S

Spectacular color with the Pen S, dourbalistar.
Thank you for the kind words, @mconnealy! I have to give credit to Gelatin Labs, they did the developing and scanning. Not only did they do an excellent job with the scans, they do not charge extra to scan half-frame (or panoramic) film. Never underestimate how much difference a good lab can make, especially in bringing out the best from half-frame cameras like the Pen S.

Pen D3, FP4+

I have tried several Oly half frames and the D3 is a favorite, simple and excellent lens and ergonomics. My camera technician recommended against Pen F because he thinks they are too hard to repair properly. But I have been tempted to get an F…

Dourbalistar, it must be possible to get contrast filters for Pen lenses by the look of your b&w shots.
@skopar steve, I haven't tried searching for contrast filters, but the Pen S has a 22.5mm filter thread which seems like an uncommon size. I did a cursory search at B&H, and they don't seem to offer circular filters in that size.

Yes it is. If you do a search on "picclick.co.uk" (which is just a way of searching ebay with all the results on one page), you get sets of filters (Yellow, Orange, Red and NDx4 made by Sigma for their 500mm/600mm mirror lens.) There are also filters made by B+W (last year there was a large set of filters listed by a German seller, but they wouldn't post any to the UK), there were various shades of of the usual colours as well as light Blue and colour conversion filters. I have a Yellow-Green filter by zeiss-ikon, a B+W NDx2 filter, a Sigma set and a Hoya UV filter, which looks coated. So with patience it is possible to find contrast filters of 22.5mm thread.

If you use a screw-in lens hood, don't bother with the Olympus filters as they don't have front filter threads.

I've just seen a 22.5mm Mamiya NDx4 filter but it looks like there's no front thread.
