Jim,

How many types of wartime shutter curtains were used in the wartime Leicas,

in which models, approximately in quanities with serial number ranges?

for instance I am aware of black curtains, red curtains, white K on black and red K on black -- but were there other variations?

then there is the IIIb and IIIc with all the variations

IIIb
IIIb Luft
IIIb Heer ?
IIIb Krieg?

IIIc ch
IIIc ch Luft
IIIc ch Heer?
IIIc ch Krieg?

IIIc grey
IIIc grey Luft
IIIc grey Heer?
IIIc grey Krieg?

IIIc K grey
IIIc K grey UNMARKED
IIIc K grey Luft
IIIc K grey Heer?
IIIc K grey Krieg?

IIIc K ch
IIIc K ch UNMARKED
IIIc K ch Luft
IIIc K ch Heer?
IIIc K ch Krieg?

IIIc grey leatherette

-- other variations?

I would imagine not every body variation had each shutter curtain variation.

Thanks,

Stephen

Stephen, Trying again. As I get data organized I will forward to you.
The production records from the Wartime period have eluded
researchers to date. We are still trying to find dependable data. This is
not to be confused with delivery records. Jim Lager.

If it helps to sort out the serial number ranges, I have a IIIc with red curtains, No. 378632. It's chrome, is a stepper, and not a K.
