I was just intending to move up a bit from the Sony A5100 used for camera scanning. I shipped off some stuff to KEH intending to trade it in on a A7 to be a dedicated camera scanner. As it ended up, I'm in possession of a nice new A7II and had a large credit with KEH. The credit was applied to a LN Zeiss 35 2.0 Loxia. It didn't cost me much considering the list price and I'm curious if any members have had any experience with this lens. Mostly I wanted it for something compact for day trips and something that didn't weigh a ton. Any comments are appreciated.

I don’t have this lens (don’t you love comments like this?). However I do have the 21, 25, and 50. I used to own the ZM 35/2 which is supposedly similar. All wonderful lenses. The ergonomics can be a bit fiddly on the Loxias, particularly when mounting and unmounting the lens, but it’s not *that* bad. Some complain that the 35 and 50 are “old” designs compared to the rest of the lineup, but I’ve found the 50 to be just fine. Enjoy!

Same as Tim above, I don't have the Loxia but do have the ZM 35/2. Diglloyd is a very fussy reviewer and was happy with the Loxia's performance.
