I hereby vow that in 2010 I will stop photographing...

i'm gonna get flak for this but, missing from your list of things not to photograph should be pets. not sure why people think pets make good test subjects, is it real easy to focus furry animals with a rangefinder?

Aaah, pets. My favorite pet-peeve among photo subjects.

I have nothing against pets, but I'm also not a pet person. I don't care looking at other people's pets either.

Except for corgis, I like corgis. Anybody here have a cute photos of their corgis? :D

... and chickens. Chickens are funny when photographed (as John and others have shown, more please :p ).

Funny idea, - what "NOT TO SHOOT", I have a difficult enough time trying to find something TO shoot that i'd never rule out anything. (nearly anything)
(I had a photography professor in '86 that insisted no squirrels, alive or dead.
(prior classes had, through the years, taken too many and he was tired of them.)
The thought never entered my mind. road-kill shots, to the teacher, for an offical grade ! -madness.

Now, if you can get those chickens, to pose, in those empty chairs... you'd have something.

smile.

P.S. I do have a list "not to photograph"...
the insides of lens caps,
my feet,
the insides of my camera bags...

but I say that every year...

My cats, now that my daughter is born.

That, of course, unless they do something really cute:

Nothing wrong with Pet pictures and Kid pictures... I just don't understand why they are posted on this site so much.

Agree on the pet and kids pictures.

Maybe in the same category "my first picture with xx lens, camera, software, new roll of film, new SD card, new god knows what." the first out of anything rarely is something to share with the rest of the world.
