I stumbled on this camera review site by browsing Youtube where there are a lot of camera reviews posted curtesy of DigitalRev.

Here is one where the reviewer compares the Leica Nokt and the Canon 50mm f1.2 (seriously cute babe with him too.)

http://www.digitalrev.com/en/canon-...x-f0-dot-95-battle-of-bokeh-8442-article.html

The guy who does most of these reviews is pretty funny and enjoyable to watch too. I love his description of bad bokeh as being like crappy prepacked cheese (compared with camembert- good bokeh) which clearly mystifies his companion who has no idea (but is still hot) or like her having a bad hair day. Also love his slightly ironic pronounciation of bokeh - as if he is slightly taking the p#ss, even though he clearly loves good bokeh.

If you have been to Hong kong lately you will recognise some of the sites he frequents. Although he naturally reviews a range of cameras he is clearly a Leica fan and often uses his M9 in these videos.

Here is the web page with links to video reviews if interested and you can track baclk to the home page from here - but seriously go to the Video reviews, some are very amusing and diverting as he manages to achieve a balance between serious commentary and good fun.

I've been watching the DigitalRev videos for a long time. While I don't shoot digital anymore, I still watch all of the videos because I like Kai's personality. The M9 that he often uses is apparently his bosses, but he shoots with an M2, M8, and 500c/m.

The reviewer's humour grows on you. I find they are great for a laugh. He pulls no punches either. I mean , if he thinks something is crap he'll say it even though the company might have a warehouse full of it. I think that in itself is pretty funny.

BTW, I have recently bought a Nikon d7000 and lenses/cards etc from Digitalrev after a good experience buying my Pany GF1. Have to say they are a very professional international seller. Fully tracked and very quick international courier shipping (which does come at a cost) and they calculate my tax at checkout so the goods arrived without being held up for customs clearance. Quicker, cheaper, and I feel, more secure than buying from local sellers who use Australia Post. I also find that local sellers don't carry a large range of goods or try to gouge you on the accessories so you end up splitting you purchases with more than one store. Overall, good experience with DR. Only one gripe was my nikon appeared to be stock sourced for the Japan market. That meant Japanese manuals only. The GF1 I bought had Euro and English manuals. I think that is a bit of a lottery. I quizzed them about it saying it should have been disclosed in the product description and they sent me a PDF and are mailing me a printed copy of the PDF. I also asked what Kai (the reviewer) would say if he received only Japanese manuals but I did not get an answer, only an apology. One other note also, if you check your account of all products you bought with them you can see the warranty status of each item. Because they cover the warranty themselves it good information to have at hand. Unfortunately warranty issues do require you to send products back to HK. I accepted that as a possibility.

yep good videos, its nice to watch them expand as they gain popularity. Cool to see there are a few ways to make a living doing what you enjoy.

"Garcia" doesn't look/sound like any Mexican I've ever know.

He is growing on me. I like watching him walk around areas that I am familiar with. I was surprised how he seemed to have no trouble photographing people. I either get people dodging out of the way or demanding that I pay them for the privilege. I guess being gweilo has its disadvantages. Cool videos anyhow.

Anyone ordered from them for UK delivery? Wonder about the Tax situation. They say they take care of that but who knows?

The videos can get a bit pretentious and overly corny sometimes...
But they're the only channel on youtube that actually show you the gear in action rather than show you what the buttons do.

My favorite is the Pro Photographer, Cheap Camera Challenge series..

Dunno if it's pretentious, but it does show that it's the person behind the camera that makes the picture..

I'm eagerly awaiting the fifth installment, which is supposed to sport the Lego camera..

He's a breath of fresh air that guy ... I really like the way he comes across.

I also think the clips are very well shot and edited.

DigitalRev Tv is like the TopGear for Cameras :)
Always find it refreshing and funny!

They also make me miss Hong Kong Really bad!
