Like 'em both, but love the first one, Brian!

Hi folks

Have been following these forums for a while and finally got round to joining!

Taken in Melbourne with a Leica II+ 35mm uncoated elmar.

this is from my first roll of film with my leica, using the black body f4/90 elmar. did not have a light meter with me, nor a filter.

Lots of nice new shots here!

There is something about those uncoated lenses that no coated lens can deliver.

I love the tulip shot! Great colors and composition!

Erik, Thank you, and thanks for the information on the bird! :)

Here's another from the same lens, uncoated 1939 Summitar, on TMax 400 in Rodinal:

Steve, I love your shots with the Summitar. The uncoated lens looks like an excellent performer for B&W landscapes. I'm beginning to regret I sold it...:(;)

Huub, Johan, Many thanks! I never bonded with the coated Summitar I sold last year, and Huub's uncoated sample is giving me the look I was after from a vintage lens. I don't know why you sold it, Huub, but I'm glad you sold it to me! :)

You're welcome Steve. At least I'm happy to be able to see its results here! I'm going to check out your Flickr pages...:)
