cheap x100 batteries

Any of the cheap batteries are fine. I use the OEM and 2 ACME branded batteries and they work exactly the same. The acme ones were about 6$ shipped from hong kong.

Delkin Devices sells its branded NP-95 batteries from the U.S. for $10 apiece (I think shipping is like $6 for 3). No difference in function from the Fuji. They may well be functionally identical to the Ebay ones, but the difference is that Delkin carries liability insurance in the U.S. and has assets here. That's a huge thing if a battery grenades in your charger (I had a Leica M generic melt in the charger once, some I take this a little more seriously now...).

Thomas Distriutors is a quality outfit too.

Quite a few places in Oz sell the Inca NP-95 equivalent, including pro Vanbar Imaging online store. As cheap as $18.95 AU.

And has anyone tried the off-brand X100 batteries on Amazon? They have names like "Maximal Power" ($9.99); "Wasabi" ($11.99); and "STK" ($9.99).

Any luck with these?

I bought one (Maximal Power) with a charger for my Fuji Real 3D W1. It is the same battery as in the X100. The charger is great, but the battery started to fade after about 9 months. My original Fuji battery is still going great.

I decided to read all the reviews on Amazon, for the X100 batteries. The maximal Power brand is getting rave reviews for value and battery life, while the ostensibly OEM Fuji one is being panned as a counterfeit! Some also say it doesn't fit properly, etc. I'm surprised that Amazon continues to offer it, with such negative reviews, especially if it is really counterfeit.

I think I might try the Maximal Power brand.
