A pancake for the Z7!

Had the same issue with the loose focus throw. Just had my copy CLA'd and with the new lubrication it's a much nicer lens to use. The slackness before the cam engages is minimized and it feels like a helicoil lens.
 
Interestingly a non pancake RF lens is about the same total length as pancake SLR lens due to the size of the SLR lens adapter:



I did not do any extensive testing but at 2.8 the Sonnar is sharper than the Nikon in the center.
