I sold my A7R because I just could not connect with it — that nail gun-like boom from the shutter sound bothered me to no end.
But I want a full frame digital body for my M-lenses. I would probably only get one native AF lens (likely the 24-105mm/4).
So here’s my silly question - how likely are wide angle Biogon-design lenses to show smearing on the far ends like they did on the A7R (mine was Kolari modified to mitigate it). Would the A7iii require the same Kolari mod?

Well-known
Given that Loxia branded Biogons are tweaked for the A-7 / 9 series, I'd guess that you will still see some edge issues.

Biogon wide lenses and other short focal length, symmetrical designs generally don’t perform terribly well on the A7 series sensors. I saw much better results from SLR lenses on the A7.
