Dear All, been enjoying the contributions by forum members here, also lately. You may or may not remember a while back there was some controversy regarding a digital color set that I posted here.

In that spirit, and with enough interwall from the last set, I thought I might again post a small series. This time more recent stuff shot mostly with Bessa and the Heliar classic 50mm F2. Locations vary.

Still very much in the process of trying to find my own photographic mojo. Cheers!

I remember your previous set.
In the set with various subjects I find N° 1 interesting because of the composition, I like the two bicycles, the car with wlth lights on and the woman I guess she's waiting to cross the road. It's a small piece of normal life in what I suppose is a small town.

The B&W in #4 is dramatic and works well in this portrait.
Another portrait in #5, the eye contact is good. Not so dure about the tones, but this is just me prefer more contrast.

The solitary man in #6 with his dog is part of a good winter photo, I like how we go from the dark in direction of the light.

The contrast between the american car and the small FIAT on the left, with a bus on the background and that ray of sun makes #11 interesting.

These are your pictures I found work better than the other, but you know photography has always a subjective component and maybe others will see your photos from a different perspective.

a collection to be proud of, love these shots.
liking the characteristics of this lens from pic 1 and 2.
8 for me would have been nicer if it was in B&W but overall i enjoyed looking at all of them.

thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the comments! Even if this is - in my case - a hobby, photos tend to need an audience of some kind, I think. Therefore every now and then you feel the urge to cobble together out of your random stuff something that would resemble a set.

Criticism, lack of interest, and the banalities of the internet are part of the business (hobby, that is).

I would also like to think that I'm not exactly a "gear head", but since starting to use the heliar classic I have somehow felt that the lens actually might possess a nice, I guess, characteristics. Not being very objective here obviously.

The Heliar F2 is a nice lens, I use it both on my Bessa or on my M7 and I like the way it renders.
Keep posting!
robert
