Enjoy Life.
All,
It's been awhile. Anyone up for an April get together? I'm good every weekend except the weekend of the 17th.

Hi Kent. Sorry coming to this thread late. Getting together in second half of April suits me fine. Can't make it to anything before the 13th.

Heya Kent,
I could do something next weekend depending on the time. Otherwise I'm all booked up for this month. May is a little more open.

I am free all weekends in April. Can we get together in Berkely/Oakland area? Maybe shoot in area of warehouses/buildings around Berkeley-Oakland border? Or a stro;; up Telegraph? Or??? And speaking of that border, I highly recommend reading Michael Chabon's book "Telegraph Avenue."

Looks like we have something to gather and see! Peter Choy and I went by the Leica Store to see whose work is showing, and we discovered what I'd call a 'breakthrough' show put together by Alex Ramos. It's the work of Vladimir, the ever-present Market Street photographer. When I met him, I believe he was homeless; but he's inherited a house, has a darkroom, and has made impressive street photographs from a regular street-person's point of view.
He's the fellow who uses two M2s with all the finish buffed off (the original Kravitz editions), and wears a kind of jeans-coat that he sewed himself, with special pockets for grabbing his cameras quickly. You may have run into him on Market Street? You can google Vladimir photographer SF to learn more about him. RFF had a thread about him a few years ago.

Hi Kirk , I bumped into him a couple of weeks ago when I was in getting my 50 summilux back from repair.
LeicaSF_vladimir.jpg ( the one lens test shot I happened to take in store )
He showed me his cameras - very interesting mods and scale focus markings.
The store website shows details of the exhibition and shows one of his M2s : April 27th ...https://www.leicastoresf.com/gallery/exhibitions/future-exhibitions

I should have asked any consensus on a get together?
The May 7th is only a maybe for me as it's a week night, while a weekend get together is a lot easier for me.
I'd also add that Canter/Stanford has an Exhibit of Iranian women photographers that might be nice to go and see (before May 4th)
