Guys, I plan to mount an Avenon (/Kobalux/Pasoptic) 28/3.5 ltm lens on my CLE. In order to get the 28mm framelines alone in my viewfinder, I should actually use an ltm/m adapter designed to bring up 35/135mm framelines, right?

Logic being that a 28/90mm adapter would bring up the 90mm framelines, and noting that the m-rokkor 28mm apparently brings up 35mm framelines when mounted on any camera other than the CLE...

TIA

The CLE's 28mm framelines always show. If you put a 40mm lens on then the 28 & 40mm frames show. If you put a 35mm lens on then only the 28mm frames show. If you put 28 or 90mm lens on then the 28 and 90mm frames show. So, and you are right, the simplest single framelines for 28mm field of view come with a 28mm screw lens with a 35 /135 adapter.

FWIW, there's some room around the outside of the 28mm frame so you can see what's going on out there. And this opens up the use of the whole window for a 25mm lens, admittedly without parallax correction.
