I just bought an Exakta 66 MF SLR from the 1950s. Anybody have any experience with these? Came with a couple of lenses. Zeiss 80/2.8 and a 180/4.5. thanks

No, mine is the one from the 1950s, but thanks anyway.

Which one - the horizontal pre war one, or the vertical interchangeable back camera?

The post war vertical one.

Is it working? I've come across quite a few on German camera fairs, but all of them were dead.

I will find out on Monday. My brother picked it up for me and two Voigtlander Prominents with some lenses.

Well, I got my Exakta 66 yesterday with a CZ 80/2.8 and Myer 180/4.5.
Looks real good as far as condition goes. The shutter works (sometimes). Should i get it repaired or just look at it? I was told that only 2500 of these were made. Is that true? Who is the expert on 66s around here? thanks
