Having a bit of a shed clear this afternoon and came across a few rolls of old film - several rolls of portra 160, 6 or 7 portra 800 and a couple of Ektar 100 - all with 2013 expiry dates!

Any advice on effective iso or anything else?

Cheers

Mike

How hot does that shed get? If they have been baking every summer for years then forget about it. Else the slower films should be usable if you shoot two or three stops over but expect color shift.

Cheers - think I’ll shoot a roll of each and see how they look. 0, +1, 2, 3 perhaps.

Or perhaps just give it away to someone who wants to play with colour shifts?

Film processing with a set of prints cost $20 with shipping. Is it throwing good money into bad? Maybe shoot a roll of the Porta 160 at iso 25? Sometimes it’s hard to put a price on satisfying one’s curiosity!

+2

The cool kids these days love expired film.
