This may not be a problem but I will report it regardless.
When transfering files via the USB cable using Win XP, The files are recognized as TIF rather than DNG.
If you pull the card out and use a reader, the files transfer as DNG.
If you use explorere to drill down into the folder within the SD card while connected to the PC via the camera and USB cable, the files show as TIF.

This is because DNG's are extensions of TIF 6.0 EP files, and have compatible headers. So software or OS's that don't know about DNG's but do know about TIF headers will think the file is a TIF.
