Currently on vacay with this little old guy, and loving it, but yeah. Can’t stop down past F9 and getting some overexposures here in sunny Seattle. Is there a setting I’m misssing? Fearing this could be a quick love affair...

You should have a neutral density filter setting available between f/7.1 and f/11. If we're talking about the original GR digital from mid 2000s.
