It is indeed very simple ...
get out of your comfort zone (the more the better) and take a masterclass workshop in some area of photgraphy that you have never done before.
If you are lucky, you will see the light. You will suddenly realize how seemingly simple it was but you have not been able to get there yourself.

I'm always looking to improve, especially as the older I get, the more I am apt to forget what I'm doing (like making many exposures on an old Argus without winding the film). Therefore, I hope to increase the keepers among frames that did get composed and exposed without something else being layered on top of it.
It's a process of continuously kicking oneself in the rear in order to stay with the program.
