ipad question transfer from flickr?

The safari on iPad is mobile safari , it does not support many simple photo applications , with the camera connection kit you can download photos . The only option is to email them .
No posting in ads or on net .
The iPad is designed to be tethered to another computer . It is not a stand alone device ( many of us are using it that way )

There is probably a way to do it .
Call apples tech line - that is the easiest way - they will send you an email with as much information as they can .

They talked me through the options ( limited ) to post photos .
It was a surprise to me that mobile safari can not on it's own do something as simple as post a photo on the net or insert one in an ad .
You need to download an application for these options .
Not a lot available .

The iPad is an I-phone clone - it runs the same search engine as the I phone .
So when you look at applications an iPhone or iPad one will work most times .

The iPad is capable of quite a lot when tethered to a pc or apple computer

If you figure out how to do it , please post the method here ,
My experience with the iPad has been that anything photo related
Is difficult at best .
I had the iPad for 6weeks before I could find the camera connection kit ,
It was in short supply . Really disappointed at how limited the kit is .
So for photography related use , I would not buy the iPad .
Just an opinion .
It excels as a portable get connected device , but fails in it's limited photo use . To be fair apple states that the iPad is not designed for stand alone use .
It needs to be tethered to another computer .
A cutting edge portable device - that needs to be hooked to the mothership
To do photo application . So limited , but useful .

i like it for a portfolio presentation.

and while i have all the photos that are contained in the flickr set already on my macbook, i was hoping not to have to gather them into the same set just for itunes transfer.
lazy me...

If you don't find the exact app, you might look into a spidering app to scour the specified pages.

i have no idea what that means...but thanks anyway.

i think i found what i need.

Sorry, I meant like a web search engine spider. You give it a url and the linked-to pages (within specified limits) are explored, and contained items downloaded.

Anyhow, glad you found something.
