The new york times has a photo essay (with commentary by the photographer Joachim Ladefoged and music) on Iraqi refugees in Syria. Some of the shots are flat out amazing, with incredible lighting situations. Definitely worth a look and very inspiring.

Yeah, I just watched it again. It really shows the power of photography; to capture a situation in such a moving and artistic way. Not to sound overwrought, but it's such a great photo essay.

excellent, and it shows the direction that photojounalism is going in. All the major papers are doing this, and of course the NYT is doing it very WELL.
