ZORKI 3M, J8, KN1 from 1972

1952 KMZ Jupiter-8, after adjusting for Leica.

On the M8, wide-open.

In a few weeks I'll get more time for shooting. This is one that will be tested against the Bertele Sonnar.

I sold this lens- too good to not get more use than I gave it.

A 1975 J-8, modified for 0.65m close-focus, RF coupled.

Knowing lenses opens up a world of possibilities with the Soviet lenses some of which can be very good and be made to work with Leicas. And I understand that early Jupiters have CZJ guts and glass. How sweet it is, CZJ for ~$100.

I could do something similar to Brian's test. I have the CZJ 272 f/1.5 and a J8 that I have been assured is CZJ guts and glass, the KMZ '51. Let's see what the Sonnar Guru does. Wait, wait, I did do a Sonnar test of the Bertele, CZJ 272 and two J8's. It can give you an idea. Sonnar Lens Tests

1953 J-8, f4. Light rain at the momemt, good time to take pictures of glaring white hibiscus that would otherwise be very easy to overexpose. I am happy with this one. A somewhat larger version is available on my Smugmug account, use RFF for password
