Got it for fun and curiosity.
A mint one with new batteries for 50€ shipped.
Built quality wise it's actually much better than I expected.

Light seals are sticky, but no visible leak.
I will change them anyway to avoid debris getting everywhere.

Lots of fun to use, let's see for how long the enthusiasm lasts.
I'm not really into the "lomo philosophy".

Never used the Lomo version, but did have a Minox EL (of which the LOMO is a knockoff). While I liked the little camera, I've never been comfortable will scale focusing. But it looks like you are getting great results with yours.

Show us some more photos!

Well, judging by the pictures, camera deserves you!
True LOMO style!

I'm not really sure whether this is an appreciation or an insult... :D
Anyway, I've just replaced the light seals and will be shooting a roll or two during next weekend.

Stay tuned! :)

Good luck with your LC-A ... it's a fun camera with a unique personality. Unfortunately they don't seem to be built very well, I have bought 2 of them and both stopped working. The newer LC-A+ from Lomo is probably better, but never tried it.

LC-A is a neat little camera -- when it works. :)

Here's one I took in 2011, expired Kodak Gold 200 film.

I must confess that this camera is quite addictive to me, really wants to be taken out and used.
I'm also pleasantly surprised that the "Lomo personality" of the lens is not too intrusive, so that the camera can be used as an ordinary one.

One very annoying downside, though: the shutter noise is very lould for shooting street.
Often people turn at me after I've taken the shot.
It's not really the shutter sound itself, rather the spring resonance after shooting... "BOOOOOOOIIING"
I wonder if it's possible to modify the camera in order avoid this noise.
Any clue?

Two more frames from another lunch break shooting.
