Leica M-D Monochrom ?

Interesting. Would one still see color thumbnails from the M-D in Lightroom's import dialog (prior to the application of a b&w import preset) with this approach? Or does it pre-apply the import preset? I'll try this.

The original color thumbnails (very very low resolution) appear briefly but are automatically replaced a couple of seconds later. I usually set up LR and press the import button then go do something else while the import is happening, so I usually miss the thumbnails.

Yes, noticed that (but not a big deal at all since they are shaded and very small). I could always put my monitor in greyscale mode if I wanted to get really anal about it (who me? ). Thanks for the info. Godfrey.
