So DAG serviced my Leica M5 a few years ago and also did the battery voltage conversion so it could accept modern batteries. With the camera came a new battery and now it's time to replace it.
What I'm not sure is what battery to replace it with. Is it LR44 or 43? If so, they look smaller in diameter than the size of this battery. I took it to a store here in Japan an ironically they tried to sell me me a old-style Wein battery that would have worked before the conversion!
DAG/Don's exact words were: "its probably best to have the meter system adjusted for the new style battery, I've been doing this since they banned the Mercury batteries around 1982 and had no problems doing this, the new battery is cheap & easy to find."
An email to DAG went unanswered so I'm asking if anyone has any suggestions?
