Luminous Landscape's Sony A7R Hands-On

Getting really tired of Michael Reichmann's hands-on reviews. Everything is the best thing he ever tested and compared with, etc etc.

Sony needs to make one of these with a dedicated M mount, that looks exactly like a Leica M4. The "Sony" nameplate should be in a recessed indentation.

Chinese knock-off guys will be alerted and produce a blizzard of "Leica" stickers that fit in that indented slot.

Sony would destroy the Leica body market. Even the people who would be embarrassed to shoot with something that is not a "Leica" could walk the streets with this and not feel shamed.

"As a second body to your M9"
Hm. As a third body to your M8 and M9? Now this sounds better.

I've just read it an cannot fathom what the problem is. So he is enthusiastic about it? Well, that's hardly surprising considering the huge fanfare associated with the 36 MP D800 only 18 months ago. Now we have a similar sensor in a body about the same size as a Leica M and over 100g lighter, with interchangeable lenses and the ability to take many third party lenses... and at a lower price than a D800 body.

Its a huge achievement.
