Following on from the 50mm lense debate , and my recent Leica tuition with a new 50mm f 2.5 Summarit [ loved it ! ] ... can you recommend a real world [ i.e . inexpensive 50mm for monochrome pictures ?
.. having said that i am finding that arare-ish rigid I 22 1951 vintage is creating quite attractive monochrome images !

A 1950s 50mm F1.5 Summarit- low contrast, great black and white. Preserves shadow detail, especially important for digital.
