I used the Canon 50/1.2 with the M8 yesterday, after having used a Hexanon 50 2.4. The Canon lens is lower contrast when compared with the Hexanon.

I will add more images as I upload them to my computer. A low contrast digital file is actually not bad at all. It allows me to add some touches here and there with PS.

Nice set, Raid. I especially like the forth image with the interesting, colorful reflections.
I also enjoy using my Canon 50/1.2.

I also tried out a few B&W rendering by using Perfect Effects 9 software. It allows you to choose among many B&W film types. I try out a few (TriX, Ortho, IR, TMZ, Ilford, ...) and I pick the one that fits on my view the best.

The Bokeh/OOFA with this lens is very unique especially combined with the M8.

Raid. I bet your 50 1.8 will up the contrast. I do like the 50 1.2, but not on birds.

I have many options available to me, and I don't think that I will soon again choose the 50 1.2 for scenic images unless I want some special effects.
