Can anyone supply an image that clearly shows what the corrosion looks like?

I bought my MM second hand, with documented proof of a sensor replacement. 95% of the time the shots are clean, the other 5% show dark spots in the sky.

Truth be told, I could of lived with the corrosion because it had a minimal effect. Only slight traces, and only on some images.

The corrosion is caused by a chemical reaction between water vapor and the sensor cover-glass, IR-filter layer, eventually the corrosion must become worse. Even though the rate of increase could be rather slow, you were wise to take action when you did.
