Got lucky on the Perkeo one with Color Skopar

Got lucky on the Perkeo one with Color Skopar

Most of the Perkeo I models came with the Vaskar lens and black crackle finish front standards. The Perkeo I with a Color Skopar is unique and likely a customer requested upgrade lens when new.

I shoot a Perkeo I/Color Skopar/Synchro Compur model. Incredible images, Pocket size camera.

Nice collections.

Next we have the Zeiss products.

1st is the Super Ikonta 531/2 Novar 105 3.5

2nd is the Ikonta 521 Novar 75 3.5

3rd is the Netter 517/16 Novar 75 6.3

I use agfa isolettes, balda, and love the portability of them. But in a way my favorite is a First Six camera. The lens is almost surreal. I may edit with photo, but I can't on this stupid IPad.

Whew, you've gone into folders a bit more heavily than I. Lovely things.

I have three:

Balda Baldix 6x6 with Baltar 75mm f/2.9 lens
Voigtländer Perkeo II with Color Skopar 80mm f/3.5 lens
Voigtländer Bessa III with Heliar 80mm f/3.5 lens

The Bessa is new, the Baldix was recently overhauled, the Perkeo is currently at the shop being overhauled. I use them all, each has its particular lovely rendering style.

G

Hmm. I might have the focal lengths on the Baldix and Perkeo reversed... :)

Nice collection!
I´m not into folders very much but I like the look of them.
May I should use mine (Voigtländer Rollfilm Skopar 4,5 10,5cm and Voigtländer Avus Skopar 4,5 10,5cm with Rada Rollfilmback) more!

There is one cam I really adore the Voigtländer Bessa RF "pre war"
Maybe I find one somedays in good condition for a reasonable price.

Sweet. I've recently got into folders myself, Zeiss Super Ikonta III and a Voigtlander Bessa I. Love them both, but the Ikonta is the favourite. Coupled RF and other bits make it feel a lot more modern than it is, and it's smaller than my M3 was!

That's a good looking collection, Tom. My first folder is an Ansco Viking 4.5, and if it weren't for the holy bellows, I might have stopped there. But I've got a half dozen Zeiss products now, most of which are still in the under repair state. Wish I could afford to buy one in good shape.

John that is a very nice rendering that the lens produces, I searched Ebay and not a single first six camera was listed . I was curious what they go for . Post a pic of yours if you have one

Thanks Kuzano, that information is very interesting and helpful. The Perkeos are very simple and elegant.

Thanks, Folders do render images differently specially the 6x6's and 6x9's when shot at more open f stops.

Nice collection, Tom.

I have:

6x9:

- Super Ikonta C 530/2 with (uncoated) Tessar 105mm f/3.8 and Compur Rapid

- Super Ikonta C 530/1 with (uncoated) Tessar 105mm f/4.5 and Compur

- Moskwa 5 with Industar 24 105mm f/3.5 and Moment 24C (Compur copy)

- Bessa II with Color Heliar 105mm f/3.5 and Compur Rapid

- Agfa Record II with Apotar 105mm f/4.5 and Pronto

6x6:

- Perkeo IIIe with Color Skopar 80mm f/3.5 and Syncro Compur

- Ikonta 524/16 with Novar Anastigmat 75 mm f/3.5 and Prontor SV

127 4x6.5:

- Ihagee with Ihagee Anastigmat 7 cm f/3.5 and Compur

As you might guess, 6x9 is my favorite format. :)
With folders I get a higher percentage of good images than in 35 mm.

I am still looking for a Welta Weltur 6x9 and perhaps a compact 6x4.5, if it is considerable smaller that my Perkeo IIIe.

I agree, not the photographer. I've never even heard of another one. I bought it off Ebay just to see what it looked like. The shutter packed it a year ago so I bought a Pronto shutter from Jurgen and took a chance the lens would fit; it did.

I have a few Folders but don't use them...my first was a Ansco Viking 4.5, I've used it a few time but don't really get along with it...
The next two I've had for a while but have never used them...The Kodak Junior Six-20 was given to me and the No. 1A Pocket Kodak was found at an Antique Swap Meet in Rochester, MN...I think I paid $5 for it...and it came with a case...
