Hello,
Recently I bought a Panasonic GX80 camera and I have been using a Nokton 40mm f1.4 MC lens on it for the past few days.
To my surprise, I see flares on my night pictures a lot more often (even at f4). I know this lens quite well because I have used it for years on Leica M and Voigtlander Bessa film cameras. This lens rarely flares, even when I shoot into street lights.
To be precise, the flares look more like reflections on the sensor than traditional flares of the lens.
Is it normal? Perhaps someone who also uses mirroless cameras with legacy lenses can share some thoughts?

Sensors are more reflective than film. You'll be more prone to flare with digital. So use film instead.

Is that why? I would have though its simply the light sensitivity that the sensor provides.
