I recently got an M8 and while I enjoy using it, I found it a bit hard to focus due to my less than optimal eyesight and the low VF magnification.
So, I read up on viewfinder magnifiers and the general consensus was basically that they are mostly useless and people just remove them after a while. Well, I bit the bullet anyway and got a MS-MAG 1.15x with adjustable diopter on eBay and I'm blown away!
The correction when screwed in to the bottom is perfect for my eyes and the slight magnification definitely helps making the VF as good to me as I remember my M4 was. Actually, as it is such a "new" and clean camera I almost prefer it to my M3! Never thought I'd say that – worth every penny! ($160 used).

it's actually slightly greater than M4 magnification (.78x vs .72x) and it will increase focusing accuracy too.

Make sure to secure it. Those attachments tends to unscrew, if they are not locked.
