New Sony A7Riv announced

I saw the video this morning, wow it's great if you need the pixels, but I'm
happy with my 7ii at 24 megapixels, still the new one is a nice camera.

I just bought a new MacPro because my old iMac could not handle 47mp images.
I use that for film scanning. 62mp? I’d be more interested in the new EVF etc

Sensor size sufficiency was reached a long time ago.

No doubt this is a fantastic kamera. And it's gotta p1$$ off Nikon (Z7), Canon, Panasonic etc. It's like Sony was just waiting to one-up them!
But, this is getting kinda ridiculous, in a good way.

I have no need for these beasties!

I dislike that all the wheels are on the rhs of the viewfinder.
It is not Sony only (except Fuji) , but I thought that with after the A9 they would finally fix it in all subsequent models

Actually 61 MP is not a very big step up from the previous 47 or what is was...

I may buy an A7 II eventually, if I decide to use digital/color. It's still as capable as it was when new and probably more than enough resolution for old lenses I would use, and I won't need a new high power computer. Although I have to say I prefer the shutter button placement on the original A7... just the appeals of a more solidly made body.

My biggest problem is I just treated myself to a new A7iii for my birthday a couple months ago. Guess I really didn't want to upgrade the computer too, so it'll do.
My A7ii is gathering a lot of dust now.

Nice to see that they redesigned the grip and improved the buttons. I'll have to see if the grip is tall enough to avoid the hanging pinky finger.
