I have the Nex 3 (yes, the old nex 3) that I used all these years as a platform for manual focus lenses. Anyway, now I want an autofocus solution, and I wonder if this lens (the 16-50oss kit lens) can work correctly on this body, knowing that the lens needs the in-camera distortions correction activated (I don't know if my camera has this feature, it was designed to work with the old kit lens.
Did somebody try this combo, or knows the answer?

Sony lists the 1650 as compatible, but with restrictions:

Click on the 1650 PZ image and is shows:
•Shading of the corners or distortion may outstand at the lens' widest or tele-end position
An indeed, as far as I can remember, the original NEX-3 did not have the distortion corrections built in, and neither was there a firmware update that did that. The latest firmware I recall was the one that added focus peaking, and that was well before the pancake zoom came out..
