What battery does an Olympus XA electronic flash A1l use as mine has lost power?

IIRC the A1L flash case is sealed; it uses a non-user replaceable lithium battery soldered in place.
We exchanged these when I worked in the service department at Olympus USA on Long Island,
If you have some basic electronic tools and a small soldering iron you might try sourcing a replacement
cell that fits (voltage, capacity, form factor etc.) from an electronics supplier like Mouser or Digi-Key etc.
However instead I would recommend finding a working A11 or A16; these use standard alkaline AA cells.
