Hello Portlander photographers!
SILVER GELATIN FREAKOUT!!
Riches Darkroom Consortium (my local darkroom) will be showing eclectic pieces from approximately 15 photographers. All photographers work under the guidance of Mike Riches, Portland Community College's Southeast darkroom. The photographers for this show exclusively use the silver gelatin photographic process. The show will be at Powell's downtown Portland location in the Basil Hallward Gallery on the third floor. February 2nd at 6:30pm is opening night and runs through February 28th

I didn't make it to the opening, but was able to visit the gallery yesterday. There's an enjoyable mix of subject and style; both art and craft were worth paying attention to. I'd encourage anyone else nearby to stop in.

I'm planning on going to see it this week.
I've been taking Mike's darkroom class for years and I know the quality of the images of those in his class is very high.
Looking forward to seeing all of the images at Powells.
