OT: Rolliflex I'm looking at...

Great Camera, Sharp lens, it's a "T" model which is the one I want next ( I have a 3.5 F and a 2.8 E2). I'd buy it if the price allows for repairs. Good Luck!

Being a 3.5 and needing shutter work (potentially DIY since it is Syncro-Compur), what do the local Rollie Gurus have to say? :) The seller is personally known to me so I'm fine on that (and can pick up rather than pay shipping!)

It looks like you get a case, Rolleinar close up set and a lens hood with the camera.

The controls for the aperture and shutter speed are unique to this model. They don't use gears only and I've heard of them breaking. You might want to get one of Claus Prochnow's books before you start or subscribe to the Rollei List and post your question there.

The Rolleiflex T is an oddball mix of Rolleiflex and Rolleicord. They've been pulling down big dollars, and I don't quite understand the fascination with this model.

However, the Tessar lens should be quite good. The one good thing is the oversized focusing knob.

I've only worked on one T, which I later gave to a friend of mine as a "going-away because you got laid off" gift.

The camera looks to be in good condition and I'm certain would be a very nice camera, once the shutter is serviced.
 
The tessar in this model, as well as the Xenar in the Rolleicord V Va Vb are all fantastic performers. I'd say if you know the person personally, it is a good buy. Shutters on these models are relatively easy to work on if only the slow speeds are sticky. Go for it, good luck!
 
The T does not have automatic film loading and it only has one lever that controls both the shutter speed and aperture. Those are the reasons why I sold mine 6 years ago.

It's over what I can afford already so I'm not too concerned right now. Now if that Elmar will just stay cheap...
