I love how it smears those highlights on a contrasty day like today. These are wide open.

Looks nice -these have a more classic look in my opinion than a lot of other samples I have seen. (Not that I have seen that many)
 
Thanks--I think it's all about how it handles contrast. It's quite different in low-contrast circumstances...much more controlled, with neutral-looking bokeh. I'm eager to go out at night with it...will probably do so tomorrow night & try some city lights.

BTW, rob, I love that avatar.
 
very nice effect wide open - it reminds me on how my summarit f1.5 behave when shooting wide open on bright light. if i remember correctly they do have pretty similar optical design...
