This is my son, shot at about f2 with a Contax mount 1936 Zeiss Jena Sonnar 5cm 1.5. I love how his luscious lashes pop. Don't know where he got those from...
I use the lens via an Amedeo adapter. I calibrated the lens to my liking, it's very good as a close up portrait lens. Leica M2, Fuji C200.
Cute shot. Beautiful color and bokeh.

Considering this Zeiss Jena f/1.5 Sonnar is from 1937 and uncoated, it deals surprisingly well with strong light sources. I can see why Zeiss lenses were often preferred to Leitz ones from the same era now.

I posted this last week, along with a bunch of more holiday themed photos. But this is my favorite...
Moon Over Roof
Leica CL + 1939 Zeiss Biotar 40mm f/2 (uncoated)
ISO 3200 @ f/4 @ 1/30 (estimated)

The lens came with a Berning Robot II that I picked up from an estate sale in the last decade. It seems to be a 1939-1940 camera, probably brought home by the guy who passed away after the war. I had it serviced and converted to use standard 35mm cassettes as the feed side spool, rather than having to cut and feed film into an Agfa Rapid cassette. The lens does well on the Leica CL digital, although it required three mount adapters to fit (Robot thread to L39, L39 to M-mount, M-mount to L-mount).
Enjoy!
