Dear all, I have just acquired a fantastic looking Retina IIIC… with an Ultron lens! The camera seems to lack a serial number but I understand this could be the result of a top case replacement.
Shooting my first film with it… crossing fingers that it focuses accurately. But the lightmeter seems pretty good! Overall impressed by the condition and ease of use of the camera!

I had read about Ultrons on earlier Retinas but not the IIIC. What is strange is that the lens seems to be fixed (there are white and red dots on the shutter, but the front elements won’t unmount), and there is a single set of frame line in the viewfinder!

I built mine, they elements screw into the factory shutter just fine. Yours may be the same. Someone may have opened up the top and masked out the 35 and 80mm framelines, it is pretty easy to do. I haven't seen any Kodak documentation showing the Ultron as an option.
