Sorry to bump up this post again. I am shooting 35mm with adapters in my Rolleiflex and I like the look of exposed sprockets. I do however simply forget if I advanced to the next frame and as the counter doesn't work I do another turn when in doubt.
This is one of the reasons I ordered a Rolleikin and not to have to carry a darkbag with me. But now I realize the mask will cover the sprocket holes. My question: when I leave out the mask will the 36 frames counter still work? And without the mask will the rewind mechanism still work to get 35mm film back into its own metal canister?
