Over a year with no new post in this thread. What a shame! I admit I often neglect the Contax for stretches of months, but I always enjoy the results when I decide to pick it up. For some reason I often find myself using flash with the Contax...much more than other cameras that might have faster synch speeds. Here are two shots from Halloween, with the 28mm and Portra.

Daytona Beach FL - "Black College Reunion" weekend. Shot in 2004 with my ContaxG and Fujichrome. Scanned the following week with my Minolta ScanDual III.

I'm not sure how I feel about the Contax G. The pictures look much more modern compared with older rangefinders, but then again I recently switched from an autofocus film SLR to the older models. Pictures kind of have an '80s and '90s vibe to them.

Beautiful bridge! Did you get to drive the new Volvo over the bridge and through the tunnel? Looks like a great drive!

South Apopka Florida 2007 - The late Mr. Arthur Lewis, age 65, on the door step of the rental home he shared. He was an agricultural worker who possibly had the effect of pesticides used on the crops. He had a stroke which left him unable to walk normally. He died 2 years after I made this photo.
I know it was shot with a ContaxG as that was the camera I used exclusively in that era. Unknown what lens I used, probably the 35mm. Shot on either Neopan 400, Tri-X, or HP5.

Yes, a very good drive! We did a 2 week loop from Gothenburg and back. Ferry to Denmark, bridge from Copenhagen to Malmo, around the bottom of Sweden, up to Kalmar, then diagonally back to Gothenburg to drop the car for shipment to Seattle.

Apopka Florida 2007 - a project I did about the Florida Central Railroad. I rode on a lot of trains, learned how to operate one, took many photos but did not end up with a worthwhile story in the final analysis. I made this photo while we were arranging freight cars for transport.
