For such a populated area, meet ups are pretty rare in SoCal. I'm guessing the traffic, lack of public transportation and spaced out regions have a lot to do with this. But it would be fun to try to put one together.
Urban shooting in downtown LA, Hollywood, Venice or Santa Monica?
Coastal areas like Dana Point or Laguna?
Hop the Amtrak to Old Town San Diego or up to Santa Barbara?
These are just ideas, so I'm all ears to other suggestions; and considerations to those that don't have cars or are visiting
