Hi guys,

The local photography shop has one of these lenses selling for £60. It is LTM mount but i haven't found much info on the internet about them.

Has anyone used one of these? What's your experience with it?

It's not for Leica cameras, even though it is so threaded. It's for Paxette cameras. Won't focus on a Leica.

To test, simply screw it on a Leica. Notice the markings end up on the bottom.

It is for a Paxette. I have a LUXON 50/2. Brian modified it to ltm. It is not a great performing lens.

Staeble did make the rare 35mm f3.5 Staeble-Linogon "L" lens for Leica mount cameras, the " L" engraved on the beauty ring is the tip off that it is not the usual Paxette lens.

I have the Staeble 35 f3.5 in LTM, but I do not use it much. As I remember, it's a good lens. While not as good as other slow 35's of the time, it makes nice pictures.

Staeble made a few of their interchangeable leaf-shutter mount lenses (e.g., for Paxette) into LTM-mount. As mentioned in an earlier response, make sure there is an "-L-" on the beauty ring, or it will not be LTM. If it is an LTM lens, £60 is a nice price.

cheers,

David
