Street Photography is dying

Mike, I remember my Dad eating pigs feet. I never could bring myself to try it. Thanks for the story. That was great.

Thank you, Rick, I didn't think anyone would read this.

Fact is, you don't actually eat a pigs foot, you just gnaw on it. Gnaw until there's nothing left to gnaw on. Gristle, fat, cartilage, crispy skin... sounds disgusting but, it sure tastes good.

All the best,
Mike

I had a friend in college, from England, who loved pickled pigs feet. They were quite common in many stores when I was a child. I never tried this “delicacy”, though I did like canned sardines on crackers.

I hate pickled eggs. But Street photography is alive and well where I live....

My Italian parents - when boiling pigs feet with which I think was cumin seed in a cheesecloth - would save the broth and transfer it to dishes and let cool until like a jello consistency. You could add pieces of pork in it also. Later when it gelled and cooled, you would eat it with some nice Italian bread. :)
