Here are a bunch of things for you to look at most are super detailed, many are engineer bench tested by serious people.

Lenstip review

Another review and great product photos and test shots from Ephotozine.com

I saw this Tamron 35mm f1.8 review on the Fred Miranda site, its got lots of info on how the Tamron works with the Metabones IV and various software rev.

Lots of pics too.
Another full test of the Tamron 35mm f/1.8 IS USM

These were all far more positive reviews of this new lens.
Tamron is rumored to have had a hand in designing the Zeiss Batis line. This is the Tamron SP
line their best line. Its less plasticy than the Sigma. I like the Lenstip reviews very much backed up by measured tests.
Before I spend my money I like to read as many tests and opinions as possible. I want to see pictures taken with the equipment.
I suggest you immerse yourself in the references above, and don't use any one review as gospel.
For the money this looks very worthwhile. It sells for hundreds of dollars less at authorized dealers than the Sigma and carries a 6 year warranty.

Well-known
That might be true state side, it isn't over here. The Sigma 35/1.4 goes for €749,- while the Tamron 35/1.8 goes for €769,- at the moment from a reputable store in The Netherlands.....It sells for hundreds of dollars less at authorized dealers than the Sigma and carries a 6 year warranty.
Oh, and warranty is two years.
