Below is my son inside the Cathedral of Learning at the University of Pittsburgh in August 2014. He was starting high school later that month and it just seemed appropriate, in this place, he sat down to rest on this hot day of sightseeing. I saw him and wondered what he was thinking about, and snapped this moment with my Canon P&S, the quickest option I had to capture the shot. I think I got the exposure right, I should have been closer so the stairs would lead you easier to him, and I should have pointed more to the left, and up to capture the arch and hanging light. I still wonder what he was thinking about, making this image meaningful to me, but it could have been better.

I think it works really well as it is.

As for what he was thinking: "Oh God, he's going to take a picture of me. Just let him do it and pretend not to notice." :)
