It's not showing comments and there is an error message at the bottom of the page (left) ... has anyone else noticed this? It's been happening for a couple of days.

Same experience (though I’m navigating by iPhone, which may not be the way you’ve run into this obstacle).
The comment pane—usually on the right—is missing, if I see a comment then follow the prompt in order to add a comment or reply to one. :-(
