So today I went and spent an hour or so at a local area photo flea market, to see if I could trade my Summaron f2.8 with goggles for a IIIf rd. No luck there but I spoke to a few dealers and I have some leads. I met a fellow GTA RFF member there. See if you can pick him out. Here are some pics.

Here are some of the deals offered that I thought were interesting, all in Canadian dollars:

Leica M4-P great condition ... $600 - best buy that I saw
Graflex XL with 100mm Tessar f3.5, 6x7 and 6x9 backs ... $375, asked if I was interested so he would have gone lower - 2nd best buy that I saw
Leica M3 double stroke, great condition ... asking $700, open to offer
Summaron f3.5, very clean ...$250 (already have one)
Nikon F3, great condition ... $350 (maybe I'll get one of these eventually)

Any decent condition enlargers? Ideally I'd like one for 35mm and 6x6.

There may have been one or 2 enlargers there, but since I already have 6 or 7, it was not something I was attuned to looking for. Enlargers are almost being given away at garage/yard sales in the summer time. Check also Craigslist and Kijiji.

I was surprised that it wasn't as crowded as I thought it would be. Most times there's a lineup to get in and I usually get elbowed by people trying to get close to the tables. Was a relief but there were still eejits. Like all shows there were a few good buys (couple of leather straps..Leica ?). The 8x10 Shen Hao looked nice but the asking price was not realistic. Saw a couple of M4-P's today as noted previously.

As well, it's always good to see 20somethings going to these shows. I think for many of the older set, this is their social scene to gab and chat and move a few things.

Next show is in March.

Newsgrunt, have you met any of the other GTA RFF members?

FA limited: It's called the Toronto INternational Camera Show, and the next show is March 29, at the Thornhill Community Centre.

I was there and managed to get a nikkor 75mm lens for my enlarger.
I saw a couple of older enlargers there - one was selling for $50.

Also ran into Frank S twice!

I find the show in woodbridge has a better selection. The next one is May 31st.
