GASitis.. finally cured?
I recently got a Ultron 28/2, and so far it's been great. The APX100 negatives look really great. My gripes with the lens are mostly cosmetic.
1. The lens cap gets caught on a piece of cloth/ bag edge and just falls off. It's happened 3~4 times when I was getting the camera out of the bag. I need suggestions for a slip-on cap.
OR
2. The hood + cap option is good. But, then it's quite bothersome to remove the cap with the hood on. The cap fits flush with the hood and my thick fingers have difficulty in removing the cap. So, could anyone suggest an alternate hood? I really do like the square shaped hoods.
Thanks

i use the hood on the 28/2 always and haven't had any grief with the cap.
you don't have to stick your fingers all the way into the cap to pinch the cap off. just pull one tab in with your index finger whilst lifting the cap away from the lens and it will fall into your hand with no effort.
another option is to fit a filter to the lens (or empty filter ring) then when you put the cap on it will sit proud of the hood by a couple of mm.
